Welcome From the Sacramento, CA Council of the NLUS!
This webpage is a demo designed for the Sacramento Council of the Navy League.The Navy League is the foremost citizens' organization to serve, support, and stand with all of the U.S. sea services - the Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and the U.S. flag Merchant Marine. The Navy League has a network of 270 councils representing more than 63,000 members. The Sacramento Council, with 320 members - 60 joining in 2006 and 18 more so far in 2007 - is one of the largest and most active (see News Articles, Events and Activity Calendar). It hosts a monthly "Forum" (a dinner meeting featuring an interesting guest speaker), publishes an informative monthly newsletter - The Sacramento Council Log (see text in News Articles), has a variety of special events, supports "adopted" ships and units, and awards scholarships.
The Navy League of the United States is a 501(c)(3) organization of more than 65,000
members dedicated to nonpartisan, enhanced public understanding of the missions and
challenges facing today's Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Merchant Marine, as
well as advocating for the well-being of the men and women of each service.
